- Drill, 6 mm masonry drill bit (standard for M4 plug), hammer, spirit level, pencil, measuring tape.
Installation Instructions
1. Mark the Mounting Location
- Mark the mounting location. Typical height is about 160–175 cm from the floor to the bottom edge of the hook (adjust according to household members' height).
- Hold the hook against the wall, check with a spirit level and mark the centre of the mounting hole with a pencil.
2. Drill the Hole
- Drill a 6 mm hole to a depth of about 35–55 mm (for M4 plug).
- Clean the hole from dust (vacuum/blow out).
3. Insert the M4 Threaded Plug
- Tap the M4 expansion plug into the hole (light hammer taps).
- Screw the M4 × 40 / 50 double-threaded stud into it (sharp end) so that about 15–20 mm protrudes from the wall (the rest is inside the plug).
4. Attach the Hook to the Stud
- Slide the hook onto the protruding stud through the hole in the base.
- If the set includes a decorative nut/cover – place it on the stud on the outside of the hook.
5. Tighten and Level
- Gently tighten the hook until it is stable and does not rotate.
- Check with a spirit level; if uneven – loosen, adjust and tighten again.
- Do not overtighten (plaster/wood may crack if excessive force is used).
Plug Selection for the Surface
Concrete / Solid Brick:
nylon M4 plug (6 mm drill bit).
Aerated Concrete / Hollow Brick:
hollow wall plug (e.g. "GB" type) with M4 thread.
Plasterboard:
"butterfly" type M4 plug, Molly plug or profile mounting (then the stud is screwed into the profile).
