The acronym PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition, an English term for the technology used to color metal surfaces. This modern method allows stainless steel to come in more than just silver. The colored layer is produced and applied under special conditions by physically depositing coatings from the gas phase. The effect is achieved in a vacuum chamber through vapor treatment at high temperatures. During the coloring of stainless steel, physical phenomena such as vapor condensation and crystallization are utilized.
Characteristics of PVD Coating
